We could not agree more with you, Jason. Getting a second opinion is always a great idea. Although when getting a second opinion, expertise matters. Our technicians are factory trained technicians that see many of the issues related to European vehicles on a daily basis. For instance, your vehicle with timing chain issues. We see these all the time, and we see what happens if they are allowed to "stretch" and lose time. Although your vehicle did not have any timing "codes", the technician can physically see that the timing chain tensioner was extended out by 5 teeth. This has the potential to cause catastrophic engine failure if not addressed. As you can see in your previous and current inspection reports, the technician noted this issue and took pictures of your vehicle's chain tensioner. At your most recent visit, our technician also explained the issue to you, and checked it again at no additional charge. One thing to keep in mind, when making a choice between two shops, is that we only use OEM parts, provide a 3 year 36K mile nationwide warranty on all of our work, and only have factory trained technicians.
