CEO/Head Mechanic/Muscle Car Guru/Race Car Driver - Rich DeFrancisco
We all believe that Rich was born with a wrench in his hand. Rich started 30 years ago with BMW in Atlanta, GA and worked his way up to become a BMW Master Technician, and eventually into a trainer with BMW North America. He was an instructor at the BMW North America Technician school, and taught classes for up and coming technicians. He was a master at teaching the ins and outs of BMW’s. Rich eventually made his way back down to Tennessee, and worked for a few of the local dealers, eventually ending up at EAG. The rest, as they say, is history. Now he has his own team of talented technicians that have helped to grow EAG into Knoxville’s leading European automotive shop.
COO/Parts Manager/HR Manager - Cyndi DeFrancisco
Cyndi never really saw herself working for, let alone being part owner, for an automotive shop. Cyndi’s extensive background is all things financial (banking, mortgage broker, real estate broker) and industrial supply. Cyndi spent the 10 years prior to working full time at EAG with Grainger Industrial Supply. It was a great platform to learn about parts/schematics, industrial safety, supply chain, and general business management. Applying her knowledge from other industries has been very helpful in helping to run the front end of the business. Relying on Andrew and Rich to teach her the automotive ropes, she has really become knowledgeable enough to answer most questions customers may have. Most importantly, who to direct them to if she can’t answer.
Service Manager - Andrew Hilliard
Andrew joined EAG back in March of 2010. He started in parts, and anything that needed to be done around the shop. Andrew moved into Service Advisor a few months later, and as we grew, he took on the title of Service Manager. For many years, he was our only service advisor, handling a record number of customers. He’s known as a bit of a customer service super hero legend. Andrew has definitely become the guide our customers have come to depend on, when prioritizing repairs and maintenance. Being a true car enthusiast Andrew has grown into an expert on all things BMW, Motorsport, and with his most recent purchase, Corvettes. In his much deserved time off, Andrew is looking forward to taking his Corvette to the track, to check out what it can do.
Service Advisor - Collin Ashin
Collin joined our team in September 2021, and has already proven to be a great addition. He has extensive experience as a service advisor, and fits right in. He is definitely a true car enthusiast himself. He loves cars, and can really talk with customers about what is needed with either repairs or maintenance on their vehicles. There’s something to be said about the guy who says, it’s been his dream to work for European Auto Garage, during his interview… We are beyond happy to have him on our team, and we know you will love him too.
Customer Care Coordinator- Danielle Oakes
Danielle comes to us with an extensive background in customer service. She has worked for many retail establishments as well as 4 years with Total Wine. Her background in all things bourbon has really intrigued and educated all of us. Now when we need a recommendation on a good wine or bourbon choice, she is always ready to help. She has also brought sunshine into our lobby, with decorating for every season and holiday. We didn't realize how much we needed it, until she took the initiative to do it. If you are ever having a bad day, Danielle's smiling face and cheerful attitude, is sure to help you smile.
Shop Foreman - Nick Borukhovsky
Nick came to us from Ohio, and is happy not dealing with all the rust that comes with the snow/ice/salt in that area. He worked with us for over 2 years and then left for a stint in Nashville. We are very happy that he and his family (they now have a "mini me" of Nick) have come back to Knoxville, and he has rejoined our team. Nick is a factory trained BMW Master Certified technician and ASE Master Certified. He reminds us all of a young Rich.
Mechanic - Eric Helton
Eric joined our team in 2015. Eric is a certified MINI Master technician, and has been a tremendous asset to the shop. He has helped many local MINI owners to keep their cars on the road running smoothly. But that’s not it, he also has extensive expertise with BMW and Corvettes… We normally do not work on domestic cars, but Andrew and Eric have a soft spot for Corvettes, so exceptions are made. Eric is a true car enthusiast, his four legged children are named after his favorites - MINI and Bimmer (German Dachshunds of course). Being a new father to a bouncing baby boy, he has followed with his tradition, naming him Maverick. Be sure to say hi to Eric at Cars and Coffee, and if you can’t find him, just listen for his infectious laugh. It is loud and one of a kind!
Mechanic - Alex Robinson
Alex is one of our many “original” team members. He has known Rich since he was nine years old. Rich hired him in the shop to clean, as soon as he was old enough to drive. He has grown up with EAG, and is really able to say he has done all aspects of the shop. Starting as a shop cleaner, then a Facilities Manager, Quality Control, Detailing, and now our 5th mechanic. He is extremely mechanically inclined, and has focused on learning all the in’s and out’s of VW/Audi. He has attended many factory training sessions for VW/Audi, and is now qualified as our go to “VW/Audi Guy”. On weekends you can find him either supporting his friends at the track, or taking his turn around the circle in his BMW.
Mechanic - Jason Buzard
Jason is a master technician that joined us December 2020. He came to us as a BMW Master Certified technician with decades of experience. Originally from a small town in New York state, he came to Knoxville via a large BMW dealership in Florida. Working for another independent shop here in town, he also gained extensive knowledge of Land Rover, Porsche, and VAG group vehicles. He is a great addition to our team, and he has quickly become one of our busiest technicians. We are super happy he decided to join our team!
Mechanic - Mike Murdough
Mike joined us this summer all the way from New Hampshire. He responded to our ad and moved to Knox Vegas to work for us. We are so happy he did. He brings his can-do attitude and cheerful energy to a shop full of fun guys. He is really used to working on all things rust, and he feels as if he has died and gone to heaven, working on Knoxville’s rust free vehicles.
Mechanic - Chris Cannon
Chris is a BMW certified Master Technician with over seven years of BMW experience, and over ten years experience as a mechanic. He came to us over the summer of 2021, and we knew we had to hire him. He knows pretty much all things BMW, and can replace an engine with a blind fold on (not really, but it sure seems like it). You can find him at Cars and Coffee with one of his vintage cars and his Kris Kringle smile.
Detailer - Bradley Duggan
Brad joined our team in the middle of 2020. He has extensive experience as a detailer, and has recently attended a ceramic coating certification class. He is the one responsible for keeping all our cars shiny and clean. Afterall, nothing feels as great as getting into a shiny, clean car. He is extremely good at what he does, and he definitely puts the detail into the word detailer. Brad is a native Tennessean and grew up in Lenoir City. He can tell you lots of interesting stories about the area. Some have some pretty famous characters too. When he’s not at the shop, he can be found with his wife and two daughters, making their new house a home.
